As a survivor, I want to encourage you to take a stand against the exploitation and enslavement of the vulnerable among us. This means standing against the pornographic exploitation as well as the physical exploitation of young people that enriches the predators in our society.

PROTECT THE CHILDREN!
Adults who use the internet to entice children for sexual or other types of abusive exploitation are considered online predators. Child victims can be as young as 1 or as old as 17. When it comes to online enticement, girls make up the majority (78%) of child victims—while the majority (82%) of online predators are male. And 98% of online predators have never met their child targets in real life.
Recruiting victims online is generally much less risky than recruiting victims in person. Sometimes when victims are recruited through social media sites, they never even meet their traffickers in person. A 2018 study found that 55 percent of domestic minor sex trafficking survivors who became victims in 2015 or later reported meeting their traffickers for the first-time using text, a website, or

Be aware!
Survivors may be living around you. They will not want to share their experiences. Be sensitive, they may need your help.
Stand against pornography
Pornography and the sexualization of women and children fan the fires of sex addiction and keep traffickers in business.
Invest in businesses that pay a living wage
Not all trafficking is for sex services, some is to provide cheap labor. Make sure your great deal is not ruining someones life.
Be vigilant in protecting children
Our youth are targeted; Make sure childrens' friends and activities are vetted and safe. Teach them not to accept kindnesses from strangers. Keep track of online activity and monitor phone use.
